Professional Learning in Action
New Skills Ready Network
We provided professional learning on leveraging academic plans and advising to advance career readiness and expand high quality career pathways for young people. Over several years, we engaged members of the New Skills Ready Network in six cities, which included leaders from local workforce boards, K-12 public school districts, higher education institutions, and state and local government. Under the leadership of Education Strategy Group (ESG), we engaged network members during breakout sessions held at several of the network’s bi-annual convenings. We provided consultancies, developed resources on career advising tailored to the specific needs of each site, and analyzed data to produce case studies that highlighted effective career readiness practices.
