Dr. Annette Parker is a distinguished educator and leader in workforce development, who recently retired as President of South Central College. With over 35 years of experience in higher education, she has been instrumental in advancing technical education and fostering industry partnerships. Dr. Parker holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and has received numerous awards for her contributions to career and technical education. Her innovative approaches have significantly impacted student success and community growth. Dr. Parker is passionate about creating equitable opportunities for all learners, ensuring they are prepared for the evolving demands of the workforce.

Boyd Worsham, MBA

Boyd Worsham has served as President of NCCER since 2018, bringing over 38 years of experience in construction. A former carpenter apprentice who rose to VP at the Haskell Company, he exemplifies career growth in the industry. Boyd holds an MBA from Jacksonville University, is a licensed Florida General Contractor, and a LEED Accredited Professional. He has contributed to workforce development through leadership roles with SkillsUSA, SCOAR, and the Florida Apprenticeship Council. Passionate about mentoring, he supports the ACE Mentor Program and champions career and technical education to build a safe, productive, and sustainable skilled workforce.

Amanda Winters is the Program Director for Postsecondary Education at the NGA Center for Best Practices, where she advises governors and state leaders on higher education and workforce policy. Her work spans postsecondary finance, equitable outcomes, short-term credentials, work-based learning, data systems, and licensure. Before joining NGA, Amanda served as Assistant Director of Academic Affairs at the Illinois Board of Higher Education, overseeing reviews for 100+ institutions and leading workforce initiatives. With over seven years of teaching experience, she holds two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s in history from the University of Illinois–Springfield.

Dr. Bryan Albrecht is retired President Emeritus from Gateway Technical College in Wisconsin. Dr. Albrecht has served the education and workforce community for over 40 years as a teacher, state administrator and President of Gateway Technical College. During his tenure Dr. Albrecht served on several state and national boards impacting legislation and advocacy positions to strengthen the workforce and economic competitiveness of the American worker. In his current role serving the Coalition for Career Development Bryan provides technical assistance and fosters business relationships to advance opportunities for youth and adults.

Charles H. DeBow, III

Charles H. DeBow, III is President and CEO of the National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC). Since joining in 1999, he has helped grow NBCC into a global advocate for Black-owned businesses and co-founded the National Alliance for Black Business. His leadership focuses on breaking barriers for African American small businesses in capital access, trade, and policy. A Kelley School of Business graduate, Charles also spent over 20 years in the music industry. Under his leadership, NBCC launched initiatives like the Global Economic Development Initiative and Pan Global Hub to connect Black businesses to global markets.

Mary (Penny) Enroth

Founder and Chair, Palmer Foundation

Mary “Penny” Palmer Enroth is the founder of The Palmer Foundation. Established in 1990 with a mission to advance clean water, the arts, human development, and community well-being, the Foundation has awarded grants to more than 400 nonprofits across the nation and countries where family members have traveled. Penny also serves on boards with interests in civic action, philanthropy, education, and workforce development. She has studied at DePauw University, the University of Mexico, and the University of Montpellier—experiences that inform her global and community-focused outlook.

Dr. Sharon Givens is a distinguished researcher, international thought leader, licensed psychotherapist, career counselor, professional trainer, and academician. She notably served as President of the National Career Development Association (NCDA) from 2021–2022, which is the largest career development organization in the world. During her tenure, she led strategic initiatives focused on increasing global membership, launching a mentoring program, a podcast and establishing a learning hub to promote ongoing professional growth in the field of career development.

Bernadine Hawes is committed to empowering organizations through community development initiatives. She serves as a Senior Advisor at Econsult Solutions and an experienced economic development specialist in manufacturing, workforce development, and small business growth. She chairs the NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership Advisory Board, appointed three times by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce. She previously served as Vice President at the University City Science Center, supporting over 100 tech and biotech startups during her 25-year tenure. Bernadine also advises businesses in the cannabis sector and serves on multiple boards, including DVIRC (Chair Emerita), the Urban Manufacturing Alliance, and the Coalition for Career Development Center. She holds degrees from Lincoln University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Kate Kreamer is Executive Director of Advance CTE, a national nonprofit representing state leaders in Career Technical Education across the U.S. She joined Advance CTE in 2013 as Associate Executive Director, became Deputy Executive Director in 2015, and was appointed Executive Director in 2023. Prior to that, she worked at Achieve (2006–2013) leading policy and research projects on college and career readiness. She also held roles at Third Way and the Progressive Policy Institute. Kate earned a B.S. from Cornell University and a Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University. She lives in D.C. with her family.

Throughout her 25 years in the industry Kunz has been a passionate advocate for technological and workforce innovation and serves on several national boards and committees. Kunz frequently speaks at industry events and appears in media outlets such as CNBC, Forbes, IndustryWeek, and NPR Marketplace. Carolyn Lee is president of the Manufacturing Institute, the workforce development affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers. Since 2017, she has led MI’s rapid national growth through initiatives like FAME USA and Heroes MAKE America. The MI is a trusted adviser to manufacturers, delivering solutions and knowledge of how to address critical workforce challenges and empowering individuals and communities. Raised in a manufacturing family, Carolyn is driven to expand pathways to opportunity and enhance U.S. competitiveness. She began her career on Capitol Hill and has held roles at the National Association of Manufacturers, 3M, and the Telecommunications Industry Association.

Executive Director, National Coalition of Certification Centers NC3

Roger Tadajewski is Executive Director of NC3, a nonprofit forging partnerships between education and industry to develop stackable, competency‑based certifications across sectors such as transportation, manufacturing, energy, aviation, and STEM. With 14 years in metallurgical engineering and aerospace research and development, he went on to launch the Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) youth program, then helped establish NC3 in 2009. Under his leadership, NC3 has scaled nationally and formed alliances with organizations like ASE Education Foundation to enhance technical training and instructor development. He also serves on multiple boards, including ATEA, FAB LAB Network, PAHRA, and the Coalition for Career Development.

Eva Mitchell is a seasoned leader in academic and career readiness with 25+ years of experience. She is CEO of the Coalition for Career Development, previously serving as Chief Program Officer. Formerly Chief of Accountability for Boston Public Schools, she oversaw federal programs, ARRA funding, and school performance. She also led strategic equity planning as Deputy Chief of Strategy and Equity and aligned education/workforce systems as Deputy of Education for Mayor Marty Walsh. Eva directed a $25M GE STEM initiative and has been a teacher, vice principal, school founder, and community leader. Education: Harvard B.A., Boston U M.Ed., UPenn Ed.D. candidate.

In her roles at WestEd and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, she has provided technical assistance, project management, and strategic planning in the areas of college and career readiness, social emotional learning, and school improvement at the school, district, and state levels. As the Chief of Staff and Services at ALLready, Robin facilitates career development systems change aimed at the regional, state, and local levels.

Keenyn McFarlane has nearly 30 years of experience consisting of traditional CFO responsibilities of accounting and audit, budgeting and resource planning, risk management and insurance, tax and compliance, asset management, treasury services and capital investment, and also includes program design and evaluation, facilities and construction management, security operations and business continuity planning, marketing, philanthropy and resource development and enterprise strategic planning. Keenyn has lectured in Economics and Management as a member of the adjunct faculty at Emmanuel College in Boston. He graduated from Regis High School in Manhattan, attended Brown University for three years, and later earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts and a MBA from Bentley College with a concentration in Business Economics.

Felicia Brown Reed is an experienced strategist, facilitator, and systems-change leader dedicated to advancing educational equity. With over a decade of experience supporting public education institutions nationwide, she specializes in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, adult learning, and organizational development. Felicia has led complex initiatives for state agencies, school districts, and national nonprofits, consistently building capacity and driving lasting impact. A skilled process manager and trusted partner, she brings deep expertise in systems-building, education policy, equity-centered leadership, and cross-sector collaboration. Felicia holds degrees from Harvard Graduate School of Education, The Broad Center, and Connecticut College, and advanced training from Georgetown and the Institute for Educational Leadership.

A Boston-based writer and educator, bethany is the VP of Alumni for Apprentice Learning and previously held director-level roles for the Coalition for Career Development Center and Boston Public Schools. In her professional work and studies at Harvard, where she earned a BA and is pursuing her Ed.M., she explores the power and legacy of Black, Latine, and Indigenous communities to create alternative sites of education for those excluded from or harmed by traditional school spaces, and she designs novel approaches to career readiness that frame workplaces as a form of culture and elevate young people’s existing cultural navigational skills.

Devon Coombe

Devon Coombe is a nonprofit leader with extensive experience in strategic alignment, collaborative approaches, and effective organizational development. As a systems thinker, she excels at making meaningful connections between ideas, resources, and people to develop solutions for improved practices, processes, and outcomes. As Director of Initiatives at CAEL/Strada Education Network, Devon led complex projects in design, development, and implementation of career pathways, education-industry partnerships, career exploration platform development, credit for prior learning (CPL) for recognizing work-based learning, and strategic talent development. Her projects have included partnerships and collaborations with university systems, industry associations, employers, post-secondary institutions, and workforce organizations. Additional relevant experience include change management, product development, grant, contract, and budget management.

Alan Garcia is a career educator who has dedicated his life to improving the lives of children and families from historically disenfranchised backgrounds. Focusing on urban communities, Alan has extensive experience building extended school day and school year programs aimed at narrowing the gap in student achievement and creating equal opportunity for all. Most recently, as the Vice President of Corporate Work Study at Cristo Rey Brooklyn, Alan manages a federally recognized year-round work study experience for approximately 250 students and over 80 companies that host students for work.

A graduate of Boston and Northeastern Universities, Ayla Gavins’ career as a teacher and school leader in public schools spans over 30 years. She has a special interest in developing inclusive communities in schools that center student-relevant curriculums that enhance curiosity and allow practice for the learning we hope to see. Ayla is currently the Vice President of Development at Apprentice Learning, an organization that partners with schools and employers to provide work experiences for youth. Prior to that, Ayla worked at The Farm School where youth learned alongside farmers with purpose and impact on the farm and themselves.

At Boston Public Schools, Erin leads MyCAP implementation and strategy, working to build coherent, student-centered advising systems in partnership with educators and administrators. Erin’s work focuses on aligning practice, data, and policy to expand equitable postsecondary access and ensure every learner is prepared for success in college, career, and life.

A former VP of Programs and longtime teaching artist, Letta integrates real-world learning with a commitment to equity, creativity, and liberation. She co-founded the Teaching Garden program, adopted by the American Heart Association. Chi is also an adjunct professor at UVA.

 

A 2018 Pahara-Aspen Education Fellow, she serves as Board Chair of the Ibis Group and YouthBuild Global, and sits on the boards of FairVote and FECOP. She also advises the COVID Collaborative, More Perfect, Multitudes UCSF Dyslexia Center, and Project Wayfinder.

Dr. Chad d’Entremont is Executive Director of the Rennie Center for Education Research & Policy, where he advances evidence-based solutions to improve public education. A national leader in education reform, he has authored influential work on system improvement and student success, including Improving Education Together (Harvard Education Press). Dr. d’Entremont has led numerous statewide initiatives and supported hundreds of school districts in improving learning outcomes. A former teacher, he holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy and Social Analysis from Columbia University. His leadership bridges research and practice to drive lasting change in schools and communities.

David has a BS from Yale and a PhD from Caltech in molecular biology, with postdoctoral work at Harvard and Cambridge universities in biology and the University of Colorado, Boulder in artificial intelligence. After a career as a serial entrepreneur in 20 companies across as many sectors, he redirected to social entrepreneurship with a focus on developing scalable, small-footprint, easily-implemented tools to empower individuals of all backgrounds to find success in work and life. This effort has entailed advances across pedagogy, curriculum, educational technology, credentialing, and community-wide efforts that “silently” create system change.

Dave began his workforce development career with a federal appointment as Executive Deputy Director of the National Skills Standards Board, where he helped integrate industry-defined skill standards into U.S. workforce and education systems. After the legislation ended, he co-founded GSX, which continues to deliver credentialing and educational services to public and private sectors, including the federal government. GSX now focuses on “Dynamic Competency Management” to ensure workforce adaptability in a rapidly changing environment. Dave has been featured in Who’s Who in America for over 35 years and continues to serve on national and regional boards and committees.
